Former head of ILNA Masoud Heidari released

GVF -- The former head of the Iranian Labour News Agency Masoud Heidari was released from prison yesterday afternoon.

According to ILNA, Heidari had begun serving a three-month prison sentence on Sunday 16 May but was then temporarily released yesterday afternoon. The former head of ILNA had been sentenced to three months in prison and ten lashes for “libel” which was then reduced to a $1,500 fine. In addition, the court found Heidari guilty of “spreading lies” and sentenced him to three months in prison for which he had referred to Evin prison on Sunday.
