Students at KNTU infuriated over visit by IRGC Commander

GVF -- Students at Khaje Nasir University of Technology have staged a spontaneous protest against the presence of a Revolutionary Guards commander at the university’s faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

According to Daneshjoo News, Green Movement supporters at the Mechanical Engineering faculty of KNTU, distributed leaflets among fellow students protesting a visit by IRGC commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari. 

Students at KNTU also spilled paint over the car of the IRGC commander so as to show their outrage of the visit by the coup supporter. 

The spontaneous show of anger came as armed security and military forces were also present at the campus. It has also been reported that at least four cameramen from the university security were keeping a close eye on any possible eruption of protests.

KNTU has been the scene of many student protests in the past year and a number of the university’s students have been arrested as a result of their activities.
