GVF -- An ally of Mahdi Karroubi in the 2009 presidential election, Mohammad Sadegh Javadi Hesar is being kept in a prison in the city of Mashhad belonging to the “intelligence office” of the holy city.
According to the Jaras website, the former director of the Toos newspaper and head of the National Trust Party’s branch in Khorasan province has been in prison for three months now despite the end of preliminary investigations by authorities. The efforts of his lawyer and family for securing his release have until now been to no effect.
