Six students summoned by disciplinary committee of Babol University

Gvf -- Following a ceremony held at Babol Noshirvani University of Technology for two students who were to commence their unjust prison sentences, six more students have been summoned to the disciplinary committee of the University.

On 8 March, more than 600 students from Babol Noshirvani University of Technology protested against the ten-month prison sentences handed down to two students from the university.

However, most of the students who have been summoned by the committee were not even present in the ceremony. Their names are: Moin Eslami Jam, Kaveh Daneshvar, Farshid Satarifar, Jalaloddin Sadeghi, Mohammad Asgari and Mohammad Ali Alami.

The summoning of these students goes against normal disciplinary regulations and the documents used for summoning the students lack dates and numbers. Also, the accusations mentioned include “not heeding to university laws”, “disrupting university programmes or its order” and “not heeding to dormitory regulations.”

According to reports in recent days, other students from the university have also been summoned by the intelligence ministry branch in the city.
