Senior reformist Tajzadeh released

GVF -- Senior reformist politician, Seyed Mostafa Tajzadeh has been released from Evin prison for a short leave.

According to Norooz website affiliated with the reformist Mosharekat party, this senior political activist was arrested on 13 June just hours after the electoral coup that occurred on 12 June. His arrest took place at his house and he was sent to a solitary confinement in ward 240 of Evin prison which belongs to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

Tajzadeh spent more than four months in solitary confinement and was under severe interrogation throughout the period of imprisonment. He was then sent to a two-man cell along with former deputy foreign minister Mohsen Aminzadeh. In recent months, Tajzadeh had also been in the same cell as other reformist figures arrested following the 12 June rigged election.

It is hoped all other prisoners will also be freed before the new Iranian Year.
