GVF -- The Wall Street Journal has reported that Royal Dutch Shell PLC is no longer selling gasoline to Iran, the latest oil company to make such a move during threats of tougher sanctions against the Islamic republic.
"Shell is not currently selling gasoline to Iran," a company spokesman said to the journal.
The Financial Times reported on Sunday that the world’s largest oil traders have quietly stopped supplying petrol to Iran in a clear sign that the threat of sanctions and Washington’s behind-the-scenes efforts to convince companies not to sell to Tehran are paying off.
The companies in question were Vitol, Glencore and Trafigura.
