GVF -- The first court trial for the abuses taken place at the notorious Kahrizak detection centre has taken place at the Judicial Organisation for Armed Forces and under judge Mosaddegh.
According to Parliament News, the court proceeding took place in the presence of the plaintiffs, all of the defendants and their legal representatives, however Judje Mosaddegh stated that those present were not to inform the public about the events inside the courtroom.
“The important issue is investigating this case, uncovering the truth and upholding justice,” Mosaddegh told everyone, while asking the involved individuals to show their maximum cooperation with the court.
However, Judge Mosaddegh referred to the constitution and the trial laws and said that “as part of the case contains content and information whose publication goes against public order in society,” the publication of information about the court by those present is “prohibited.”
During the court session, indictments were read against twelve of those involved in the Kahrizak abuse scandal and the father of Mohammad Kamrani (one of the victims of the abuse) read out his formal complaint as well as other plaintiffs.
