400 IUST students protest

GVF -- Students at the Iran University of Science and Technology have staged a protest in memory of their fellow students who lost their lives following the rigged presidential election of 12 June 2009.

According to Daneshjoo News, IUST students gathered in front of the Chemical Engineering faculty of the university at noon, many of whom held pictures of one of their fallen comrades Kianoush Asa. The students chanted slogans in praise of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi and the victims of the post-election unrest.

More than 400 students are reported to have taken part in the protest. As always, the university’s security along with Basij members attempted to film the protesting students as well as threatening them.
