Prisoner update: Student Abbas Ahmadlou commences 1-year prison sentence
GVF -- Communications student Abbas Ahmadlou has begun serving a one-year prison in a prison in Arak city. Ahmadlou was in his final year of studies at the Islamic Azad University of Arak. He was sentenced to a year in prison for having allegedly insulting the leader and causing unease among public opinion.
He began his sentence after it was approved by an appeal court. Arak’s prison is said to have inappropriate conditions and a lack of segregation among inmates.
