GVF -- Ali Hekmat, editor-in-chief of the banned newspaper Khordad and a member of the Association for the Defense of Press Freedom has been released on bail from Evin prison after two months of imprisonment.
Hemat was arrested on 1 January 2010 following the wave of arrests that were launched after the demonstrations of 27 December. His first meeting with his family took place last Thursday.
Ali Hekmat’s daughter Mahsa had also been arrested on the same day as her father but was released on 4 February.
