TEHRAN (GVF) - Anti-riot police have begun using tear gas against the population in Tehran.
According to our reports from Ashrafi Esfehani Street in Tehran, anti-riot forces have confronted peaceful protestors and eyewitnesses speak of gunshot and tear gas.
Sporadic fighting has also taken place in Sadeghiyeh Square where Mahdi Karroubi had promised to join the protestors but was forced to leave following pro-government attacks against him.
According to various reports from the capital Tehran, the number of green protesters is on a continuous rise.
State owned Jamejam television which broadcasts for Iranians outside Iran, is distorting reality by choosing to show images in ways that distort the nature of the protests and portray them as pro-government.
