GVF -- Journalist Zeinab Kazemkhah who was arrested and released after almost a month has been fired from her at job Iran’s Student News Agency (ISNA).
According to Reporters and Human Rights Activists News Agency, following her release from prison, the head of ISNA at the time Saeid Pourali told Kazemkhah that she could no longer work at the agency because she had been a “traitor to the countr.” On 11 April Pourali was replaced by Ali Motaghian at ISNA.
This is despite the fact that following her release from prison on 7 March 2010, Kazemkhah was able to obtain a letter from prison officials which stated that she could continue her work at the agency as a journalist because none of the charges against her had been proven.
It should be noted that Zeinabkhah was arrested by security officials on 7 February along with six other journalists. Except Ehsan Mehrabi, all of the other journalists have been released on bail.
