Following authorities' indifference
GVF -- The families of three of Mir-Hossein Mousavi’s advisors have decided to take their complaints to senior clerics in the holy city of Qom.
According to Mousavi’s official website Kaleme, the families of Arab Maziar, Beheshti Shirazi and Behzadian Nejad have visited Grand Ayatollahs Vahid Khorasani, Mousavi Ardebili and Bayat Zanjani and have expressed their concerns about the continuing detention of their loved ones who have been in prison without any legal justification as well as the disregard for their basic legal rights.
“The crime of the individuals is not clear,” they said.
The three families also expressed their frustration over the prison authorities’ refusal to grant permission for a proper family visit.
Mousavi’s advisors were arrested on 28 December, a day after the demonstrations of 27 December (Ashura) which were turned violent by security forces. They have not been indicted up until now.
The families are set to conduct meetings with other clerical figures in the country in the coming days.
